It sounds like you have an idea but for now that is it. Which is great! Because, where you put two bricks together, there it begins. The business plan is a must. Have you any contacts in the retail industry currently that you may speak with? A friend or associate in which you may discuss your idea and who has some experience and advice? In addition, having a small business accountant is a must, I might suggest one whose focus is soley on the small business say those with 10 or less employees they can work with you on your projections and keep it real. Before you do anything you need to conduct more research, like, the area in which you wish to open your business -- is there a need, what kind of advertising do you have in mind, etc.. Talk with and research as much as possible first. The web is a great place but there is so much inforamtion it can be overwhelming so take your time and try to break it down and tackle one thing at a time to avoid getting discouraged and overwhelmed.

Hi

I think it's a good idea business plan to start a sports reatil store. I suggest you to have an website of Business to Consumer E-commerce application software and configuredaccording to your business plans. There are many open source E-commerce softwares availble , i think Shopify suits you as it does not require much technical skills to work with.
Getting Into New Business with Little Capital

I'm getting into a retail business, and I'm having a hard time getting credit for operating and cash flow. My father ran this business for 12 years before he sold to a local guy, since then the guy has file bankruptcy, and the business became available for a very good price. I jumped at the opportunity! It has tons of upside! My father owns the building, and it's going to cost me very little to buy the business. The problem I'm having is the feeling of security. I won't be receiving a commission check until the end of October, and I'm pretty much relying on my savings account, which will be dwindling by that time. I don't open up until the end of September, but I'll be gone for training for two weeks prior to that. Any suggestions on how I can get some capital (10,000 to 20,000). I currently have two houses one where my family and I reside and one rental. With no equity in either one. I have some credit card debt (6,000). I have a credit score of 696. Any advice is great!

F1 visa business registration advice

Hello,

Im a grad student on f1 visa and planning to start a hotel search website similar to orbits in different countries. my question is can i register this as a partnership in the usa?
that requires filing with the state department and obtaining a EIN for tax purposes.

I have read a few of the online discussions already with good help. but would like to post my own thread to get clearer answers.

LLC or anything else (even LLP) is out of the question since its too expensive.

so would like to know if i can have a partnership registered and draw possible profits if i report them when filing tax? i already file taxes similar to a citizen.
if this website registration pays the local, state and any fed taxes it has to.. can it operate legally?

would be grateful for any advice.. if things do not look good i can always register it in my home country.
Thanks!

Hi Guys,

I just joined this site and found tis forum very interesting. Im also in the process of establishing my soccer reatil store. I have a number of investors interested. I have written my business plan but unfortunately I can't seem to figure out how to gather information for start up costs. How do you predict realistically about how much you will sell in the first month and expenses of purchasing your goods? I'm wary of contacting wholesalers at present as I want to ensure I have the investors on board. However they obviously want to see the costs involved before they commit. any help is appreciated.

Here's a suggestion: use crowdspring.com. Over 30,000 artists compete for your design. You set a budget, send out emails to designers you like on the site, and the competition is on! I've used this for several logos, and it is legitimate. Best of luck!
